Noah Chojnacki

FORMER STUDENT OF DR. JOSEPH ZINS, PREMIER CLASS

Noah Chojnacki is nineteen years of age. He studied for over seven and one-half years with the nationally distinguished artist/teacher, Dr. Joseph Zins, of Crocus Hill Studios in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Enrolled in the studio’s high intensity Performance Studies for the Gifted and Talented Pre-College Student, he was a leading member of the Premier Class. Noah also studied at the Young Artist World Piano Festival for five summers and attended the International Institute for Young Musicians at the University of Kansas, Lawrence.

Noah has received many awards and honors. In March of 2015, he was selected by audition for the Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) Minnesota Varsity’s Featured Round. As a result, Noah made a very exciting professional recording at the MPR studios which was later aired on Classical MPR. In February of 2015, he was a finalist of the Dubois Piano Competition and Festival in Ohio. In January, 2016, Noah was selected by an international jury for the Junior International Piano-e-Competition, Disklavier Recording Round which placed him in the top 60 internationally. In November, 2014, he won Second Place in the Minnetonka Young Artist Competition as well as Third Place in the Saint Paul Piano Teacher's Association (SPPTA) Concerto Competition. He was also the Third Place Winner of the national Augustana College 2013 Lee Piano Competition, Division III, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In April of that same year, he received Third Place in the Thursday Musical Scholarship Competition

At the Young Artist World Piano Festival, Noah was selected for the Honors Recital both in 2014 and 2010. Noah was a Finalist in the Young Artist World Piano Festival’s Concerto Competition (2014, 2013), The Schubert Club Scholarship Competition (2012), and The Minnesota Orchestra’s Young Peoples Symphony Concert Association Concerto Competition (2012). He has been the recipient of many Honorable Mention Awards such as the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra’s Rising Stars Competition (2013, 2012), the St. Paul Piano Teachers Concerto Competition (2012), the Thursday Musical Young Artist Competition (2012), the Music Teachers National Association National Young Artist Competition – Junior Level – State Division (2011).  Noah has performed in the Master Classes of a number of world renowned artist/teachers including Roberto Plano (2014), Eugene Pridonoff (2013, 2012), and Hyoung-Joon Cheng (2013).

He studies with the internationally recognized artist/teacher, Nancy Weems, at the Moores School of Music, University of Houston.
