Noah Qiu
About the Artist
Noah Qiu is a 17 year old pianist from Woodbury, Minnesota. He is a member of the Premier Class at the nationally recognized Crocus Hill Studios where he has studied with the distinguished artist/teacher, Dr. Jo Anne Link, since the age of six.
An active performer in the Twin Cities and beyond, Noah is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions. As winner of the 2017 Dakota Valley Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, Noah performed the finale of Brahm’s magnificent Concerto in D minor at the beautiful new Ames Concert Hall in Bloomington, Minnesota. A finalist and Audience Prize winner in the 2015 International Piano Competition of the International Institute for Young Musicians (IIYM), Noah has also received numerous awards in the Saint Paul Piano Teachers Concerto Competition and the La Crosse Rising Stars Concerto Competition. Noah was a finalist and received Honorable Mention in the 2016 Schubert Club Young Artists Scholarship Auditions and was the 2015 winner of the Thursday Musical Young Artists Scholarship Auditions. He has appeared as a Guest Artist for the China Service Venture Banquet, Global Missions Festival, and the Thursday Musical Morning Concert Series. Noah has performed in the master classes of Boris Slutsky and Bernadine Blaha. Noah enjoys listening to and playing music by many composers, but has a particular love and affinity for the music of Beethoven, Chopin and Brahms.
This fall, Noah will be entering the Air Force Academy.
